The Cub by Thaddia Hulse (5th Grader)

Once there was a boy named Tyler who was walking in the woods, searching for food to take home to his mom for supper. While he was in the woods, a little cub bear that was lost, decided to follow Tyler home. Tyler didn’t notice the bear. So Tyler had dinner and went to bed. In the middle of the night the little cub bear knocked over Tyler’s collection of shells and it made a load crashing noise.

So Tyler woke up and screamed. He was so scared. His mother popped into Tyler‘s room and asked him what happened. Then she saw the little cub bear and she screamed as well. After a while, Tyler realized the bear was harmless and wanted to keep him. Tyler’s mother didn’t mine, so the little bear became his pet. The little cub bear was his pet but only for one year.

After about one year, the little cub bear’s mother came following his smell. So the little cub bear’s mother took him home. But the little cub couldn’t sleep without Tyler. So one night, just before the clock struck twelve, the little cub bear climbed into Tyler‘s room through his window. So in the morning the little cub bear’s mother went to the Tyler‘s house and started attacking the house. But the little cub bear went to his mom and said “I love Tyler and I’m going to stay with him. ‘’ So the little cub bear stayed with Tyler. Then Tyler’s mom said “Why can’t the little cub bear’s mother live here too. Finally, it was settled; the little cub bear‘s mother would live with them. Now cub bear could be close to the two he loved the most.
